Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Wednesday, said he is already feeling victory ahead of the August 15 gubernatorial election.

He stated this during the inauguration of a 52-man Campaign Committee that will lead his quest for another term in office in the August 15 governorship poll.

Governor Adeleke, who inaugurated the campaign committee at an event attended by top officials of his administration and party stalwarts, expressed confidence in the team to successfully deliver on the mandate of driving a campaign that will secure him another term in office.

“I am feeling the victory, the defeat of our opponents. This team is heading to victory. My spirit confirms our party, the Accord, is declared the winner with wide margins.

“This is how we started in 2022. Today is the march to victory on August 15th. I hereby inaugurate this Campaign Council to the service of continuity and delivery of good governance”, the governor told the gathering.

NAIJAONPOINT reports that the campaign structure, known as the Imole Campaign Council 2026, is expected to serve as the central coordinating body for the governor’s political strategy, mobilisation efforts, and electioneering activities across the state.

According to details from the government, the council will be inaugurated on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, marking the official commencement of high-level campaign activities for the upcoming election season.

“This is a carefully designed structure to ensure effective coordination, strong grassroots mobilisation, and a unified campaign direction across all levels,” the official said.

The 52-member team is expected to comprise politicians, technocrats, party leaders, and grassroots mobilisers drawn from across the state, reflecting what insiders describe as a “broad-based and inclusive political structure.”

At the top of the council is the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of Osun State University, Prof. Wale Ladipo, who will serve as Chairman of the campaign council.

The Senate Minority Leader, Senator Kamorudeen Lere Oyewumi, has been appointed Director General, while the Osun State Commissioner for Information, Barrister Kolapo Alimi, will serve as Deputy Director General. Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi is expected to act as spokesperson, and Hon. Prince Bola Ajao will serve as Secretary.
