2027: I’m the best candidate to lead Adamawa APC to victory – Namdas

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, Wednesday, officially declared his intention to contest for the gubernatorial seat of Adamawa state  on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Namdas,  former chairman House committe on media and publicity and later Army, who represented the people of Ganye/ Jada/ Toungo and Mayo, Belwa Federal constituency  made this declaration Friday in Yola.

 He described himself as the best candidate to lead Adamawa APC to victory in 2027.

He said  his desire to vie for the seat  followed wide consultations with various segments of the society including youth groups, women groups, stakeholders and other political class out of which over 80% of them asked him to contest.

He assured  the people of Adamawa state that he is in the race to win , saying there won’t be imposition or concensus candidate, adding that the party hasassured all aspirants that there will be free, fair and credible primaries in the state.

Namdas promised to give priority to rural development, education, health, water supply, youths and women empowerments among others, stressing that he is a grassroots politicians who has  traversed all the nooks and crannies of the state and knows the challenges bedeviĺing the state and its people.

According to him, all the aspirants are qualified to lead Adamawa state, but he is the best  going by his track records and experiences especially in politics and governance which have put him far ahead of others.

He further promised to addressed the security challenges bedeviĺing the state especially the farmers/ Herders clashes.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of his campaign steering committee, who is also a former commissioner for land and survey, Alh. Abdulrahman Shuaibu, called on the people of the state to rally round Namdas candidature for the betterment of the state.
