The Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, ECCIMA, has announced that the 38th Enugu International Trade Fair has been slated for March 12, 2027 to March 22nd, 2027.
The president of ECCIMA, Engr. Nnanyelugo Onyemelukwe, made the disclosure on Monday at the official closure of the 2026 edition of the trade fair.
Onyemelukwe, represented by the Ist Deputy President, Sir Eric Chime, also announced that the 37th edition date has been extended by two days, to culminate in Wednesday April, 2026.
The ECCIMA boss said that the fair was extended to enable exhibitors sell more of their goods, pointing out that security and other logistics have been arranged to ensure that the two days would be hitch free.
Onyemelukwe noted that the poor state of the economy somehow affected the Fair as a result of the prices of petroleum products, but they were able to pull through.
“The poor state of our national economy, especially, the recent hike of the prices of refined petroleum products, was a point of concern to us few weeks before the opening of the Fair, yet you surmounted all huddles with us to jointly rebuild and revive the Enugu International Trade Fair.
“Honestly, the result is there, for all to see as the 37th Enugu International Trade Fair is an improvement of the 36th edition.
“I believe that in spite of all, deals have been sealed, relationships created and proper networks established. Those, after-all, are the reasons why we have fairs,” he said.
While apologising for any perceived shortfall at the Fair, he promised that the forthcoming Fair would be better.
“Let me apologize for any shortfall in our expectations The Chamber is assuring all our dear participants that measures are already put in place to ensure that we give the best to you, next year, 2027,” he posited.
He commended ECCIMA for making the Fair more enjoyable by providing full air conditioned indoor pavilion.
“We thank God for helping us fulfill our promise to get the 3,000 SQM Premium Indoor Air Conditioned Pavilion, which we could not complete for use at the 36th fair. We congratulate all our pioneer users of the exhibition hall and hope that more of you will be here next year to enjoy comfort in the hall.
“Things can only get better and that is why I confidently invite you to the 38th Enugu International Trade Fair which has been scheduled, tentatively, to hold from the 12th to 22nd of March, 2027,” he said, adding that, “registration has already started as you can enjoy about 10% discount on our early bird registration which will last till November 30, 2026.”
The ECCIMA president said that they have taken note of the concerns and feedback of exhibitors with a view to improving the coming fair.
