Selected candidates for Cohort 3 of the Abia TechRise Programme have been issued a critical notice outlining the next phase of onboarding, including verification, documentation, and health requirements.
In an official communication sent via email, candidates are advised to carefully review their personalised programme details, which include Local Government Area (LGA) assignments, designated coordinators, and required documentation links. The notice stressed that “all selected candidates are advised to check their email inbox for their official programme directions and verification details,” noting that each candidate’s information differs.
According to the update, each participant has been assigned an LGA alongside a Local Government Mayor or Inspector who will serve as the primary contact for the verification process. Candidates are instructed to strictly engage only the coordinator listed in their email to avoid confusion or delays in the process.
“The assigned LGA Mayor is your primary contact for the LGA verification exercise,” the notice stated, reinforcing the importance of direct communication with designated officials.
The verification process will be conducted in partnership with LearnFactory, with specific dates and times allocated individually to candidates. Attendance is compulsory. Organisers emphasised that candidates must arrive promptly with all required documents, warning that failure to comply may affect participation in the programme.
Part of the onboarding requirement includes downloading and submitting key documents such as the General Information Brochure, Programme Curriculum, Student Agreement, and Affidavit template. Candidates are expected to print, sign (or swear where applicable), scan, and upload these documents to their TechRise dashboard.
“You MUST download, sign (or swear), and scan the Student Agreement and Affidavit, then upload the scanned copies to your TechRise dashboard,” the notice added.
In addition, candidates are required to undergo specific health screenings, including HIV status, asthma status, hepatitis status, and other critical tests such as genotype and blood group. Recommended laboratories have been provided for candidates in Aba and Umuahia to facilitate the process.
The Abia TechRise initiative continues to position itself as a structured pathway for digital and technical skill development, with strict compliance measures aimed at ensuring readiness and commitment among participants.
