An aspirant for the Ondo North Senatorial District, Michael Abayomi Adeyanju, popularly known as Imole, has formally declared his intention to contest the seat, following a consultative visit to the Ondo State leadership of the All Progressives Congress.
Adeyanju made the declaration during a courtesy call on the state APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, at the party’s secretariat, where he also pledged loyalty to the party and commitment to its unity.
The senatorial hopeful congratulated Babatunde on his emergence, describing it as a development that signals renewed cohesion and strength within the APC in the state.
He expressed optimism that the new leadership would reposition the party for electoral success, particularly ahead of forthcoming political contests.
Adeyanju also commended the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, noting that ongoing efforts in infrastructure, economic growth, and social welfare demonstrated a commitment to sustainable development in the state.
Speaking on national issues, he praised President Bola Tinubu for implementing what he termed bold economic and institutional reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that such policies were necessary for Nigeria’s long-term stability.
The aspirant said his decision to join the race for the Ondo North senatorial seat was driven by a desire to deepen representation, empower youths, and foster grassroots development across the district.
He appealed to party leaders and members to support his ambition, promising to work with stakeholders to strengthen the APC and ensure victory in future elections.
Adeyanju’s visit forms part of ongoing consultations by aspirants ahead of the APC senatorial primaries in Ondo State.
