The UGO Fellowship Programme has opened applications for its 2026 cohort, targeting young Africans interested in leadership and sustainable development within the green economy. The initiative is designed as a three-month intensive programme aimed at building ethical, innovative and impact-driven leaders across the continent.
Organised in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD), the fellowship combines academic learning with practical engagement, focusing on real-world solutions to community challenges.
The programme will expose selected fellows to key areas including personal development, ethical leadership, social entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, sustainability, and community development. Participants will also receive specialised training in diplomacy, etiquette and protocol.
A major highlight of the fellowship is a cross-border exchange experience within UGO partner countries, giving participants the opportunity to interact with diverse cultures, build networks across Africa, and gain broader global perspectives.
