CAS Praises NAF Queens After Federation Cup Final Loss

‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has commended the Nigerian Air Force Queens Football Club for finishing as runners-up at the 2026 Federation Cup.

‎The team lost in the final to Niger Rattle FC after a keenly contested match.

‎Receiving the players at the NAF Headquarters in Abuja, the CAS praised their performance and dedication.

‎“You have demonstrated courage, teamwork, and determination. Reaching the final reflects the effectiveness of our investment in sports development,” he said.

‎Aneke assured the team of continued support, noting that the Air Force remains committed to developing sports and supporting its athletes.

‎“We will continue to provide the resources needed for our athletes to excel,” he added.

‎Earlier, the Director of Sports, Group Captain Ademide Adeyeye, thanked the CAS for his support.

‎“The morale boost and logistical backing played a significant role in the team’s success,” he said.

‎The NAF Queens’ performance has been described as a major boost for women’s football within the Service.
