The President of the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, hope and resilience as the country confronts security and economic challenges.

In his Easter message, Okafor said the season symbolises sacrifice, redemption and victory of hope over despair, urging citizens to draw strength from its lessons.

He noted that Nigeria is at a critical stage, facing insurgency, terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and communal clashes, but stressed that faith, courage and selflessness remain vital in overcoming the challenges.

The AANI president commended the Armed Forces, police, and other security agencies for their sacrifices in protecting lives and property, urging them not to relent in their efforts.

He also called on Nigerians to rise above divisions and recommit to peace, unity and responsible citizenship.

Okafor urged members of AANI to participate in the association’s awareness walk on April 11 and its 46th Annual General Meeting and National Colloquium scheduled for April 18 in Abuja.

He prayed for peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria, wishing all Nigerians a happy Easter.
