A key chieftain of the Accord Party in Edo state, Dr. Bright Enabulele, has officially defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following its national convention recently, declaring support for Nyesom Wike-led leadership.

In a statement Tuesday in Abuja by his Media Adviser, Mildred Victor, Enabulele, who hailed from Edo South senatorial district, said he joined the PDP with ambitions of carrying the party’s senatorial banner in 2027.

Dr. Enabulele highlighted the potential advantages of aligning with a party now reformed under the leadership of the Minister of the FCT, Chief (Barr) Nyesome Ezenwo Wike.

He emphasized the renewed strength of the PDP, projecting optimism against earlier skepticism.

“The PDP come 2027 will emerge a better and very strong party than how it is viewed months before the National Convention of which many in Nigeria expressed pessimism that the party is dead however, I make bold to say that things don’t die around personalities like Nyesome Ezenwo Wike POS Africa whose political charisma has cause dry bones to rise again.”

Enabulele further underscored the dramatic months ahead, as efforts to unify the party and foster cohesion gain momentum.

He stressed the importance of leveraging this moment not only to secure the senatorial ticket but also to ensure a victory that would return political power to the people of Edo South:

He said: “Events of the coming months will be dramatic as moves to unify the party and build the needed cohesion to strive for victory is ongoing and will surely have credible outcomes as such it is imperative that he as well use the opportunity to put everything necessary in place not only to secure the senatorial ticket but to emerge the winner of the Senatorial contest in a State where the fell out of power in order to return power to back to the people.”

Judging by his track record of humanitarian engagements and ongoing initiatives, Dr. Enabulele believes that the electorate has much to gain, adding, “there is no doubt and in fact it is certain that the people of Edo South Senatorial District will have nothing to lose but more to gain if they give him their mandate as such is expected to support the campaign and voting train in order to deliver Dr. Bright Enabulele.”

The move, is said to be more than a personal ambition; it is a call for communal representation and development.

“Dr. Bright’s united stance under the PDP banner aims to bring tangible dividends of district projects to the people, reinforcing the idea that politics is about service, not personality.

“This united move and stance will be for a better representation and delivery of the dividends of district projects that will better the lives of the people of his district in Edo State, this is because politics is not personal but communal and together, he shall be delivered.”
