Nigerian rapper, Emeka Akumefule, known professionally as Blaqbonez, has claimed that his colleagues Davido and Wizkid can never fade.
NOP NIGERIA reports that Blaqbonez, in an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, asserted that the rivalry between fans is one of the reasons Wizkid and Davido have remained relevant in the music industry for about two decades.
According to the musician, without rivalry, Wizkid and Davido would lose their relevance, adding that artists can love each other, but rivalry between fans should not be discouraged.
The rapper said he is competitive and welcomes rivalry.
He said, “Wizkid and Davido can never fade. That hatred is the reason why they will be relevant forever. When they love each other, it is over. Love is for children. Artist can love each other, but the fans should never love each other.”
Meanwhile, Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, recently slammed his colleague, Blaqbonez, for failing to personally approach him for forgiveness, instead sending respected industry figures to intervene in their rift.
Odumodublvck, in a recent podcast interview with Pulse, expressed his readiness to quash the beef and reconcile with Blaqbonez if the singer personally apologises to him.
According to the ‘Wotowoto’ crooner, he is not ruling out a reconciliation with Blaqbonez, stressing that his Christian background means he can forgive wrongdoings against him.
Odumodublvck insisted that the rift, which began in 2025, was more than a rap beef, accusing Blaqbonez of trying to downplay it to a hip-hop beef by releasing diss tracks targeted at him.
