Inflation climbed in March as energy disruptions tied to the Iran war drove prices higher, with consumer prices rising 3.3% year-over-year and 0.9% month-over-month.

Energy costs, including gasoline, rose more than 0.9% from February and 3.3% annually, while core inflation increased 0.2% on the month and 2.5% from a year earlier, broadly in line with economists’ expectations.
