Iran-US-Israel War Live News Updates: Iran intensifies diplomacy as Abbas Araghchi heads to Russia, offers US a deal on Strait of Hormuz, while Israeli strikes in Lebanon kill at least 14.

Iran-US-Israel War Live Updates: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to travel to Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin as Tehran intensifies diplomatic efforts to end the ongoing conflict with the United States.

The visit follows Araghchi’s recent engagements with mediators in Pakistan and Oman. However, he has expressed uncertainty over Washington’s intent, stating it is unclear whether the US is “truly serious about diplomacy” after President Donald Trump cancelled a planned visit by American envoys to Pakistan.

Tehran has proposed a fresh deal to Washington to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and bring the war to an end, as per Axios. The proposal also includes postponing nuclear negotiations.

Meanwhile, Trump said Iranian leaders “can come to us, or they can call us” if they wish to engage in talks. He is also expected to convene a Situation Room meeting with senior national security officials.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a flashpoint, with Iranian lawmaker Ali Nikzad asserting that Tehran will not allow a return to pre-war conditions, Al Jazeera reported.

Despite a US-brokered ceasefire, Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon have continued, with at least 14 people, including two children, reported killed, as per Al Jazeera.

Hezbollah has claimed multiple attacks on Israeli forces, calling them a response to “persistent violations of the ceasefire”.
