Iran-US-Israel War Live Updates: Trump extends Iran ceasefire but keeps naval blockade, Iran calls it an act of war, Pakistan mediates talks as US delegation plans visit.

Iran-US-Israel War Live News Updates: US President Donald Trump announced that the ceasefire with Iran will be extended while Washington waits for Tehran to present a proposal for negotiations.

Trump said the naval blockade of Iranian ports will continue until Iran submits a proposal and “discussions are concluded, one way or the other”.

Iran has strongly criticised the move. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that “blockading Iranian ports is an act of war and thus a violation of the ceasefire”, adding that Tehran knows “how to resist bullying”.

Efforts are continuing to revive the next round of US-Iran talks, with Pakistan attempting to mediate between the two sides. Al Jazeera reported that last-minute diplomatic efforts are ongoing in Islamabad to salvage the anticipated second round of negotiations.

Meanwhile, a US delegation is expected to travel to Pakistan soon for talks aimed at ending the conflict. The White House said the delegation could be led by US Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner, as per AFP.

Tensions intensified after the US Navy seized an Iranian cargo vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, an action Tehran condemned as “piracy”.

Despite the ceasefire arrangement, Israel has continued air strikes in southern Lebanon and demolition of homes, as per Al Jazeera.
