Worried by rampant activities of bandits in some areas, Governor DIkko Umaru Radda of Katsina state weekend threatened to name top government officials sponsoring banditry across the state if the situation persists.
The governor issued the threats while hosting district heads at Government House, Katsina.
Radda stated that: “Wallahi, I will name people from above who are misleading Katsina people towards insecurity. Some people from above choose to cause hardship for our people by sponsoring banditry simply because they don’t like me.
“If you don’t like Dikko is a different thing, but why did Katsina people deserve to be subjected to insecurity and hardship?
“Why are you cheating innocent Katsina people? Wallahi, if you push me to the wall, I will name you for the public to know because I know them.
“We are worried with the recent reappearance of insurgency attacks in Matazu and parts of Musawa local areas. We will continue to pray against their intentions to destroy the state.
“We fear nobody because no human being on this earth can give to himself what he does not have to talk less of stopping any human from becoming what Almighty Allah designed for him.”
