
The Ogun state Police command has arrested a 25 year-old man, Abubakar Musa, for the murder of two persons, and injuring three others at Olambe area of Ogun state.
According to a press statement made available to Blueprint, by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the suspect was accused of attacking his victims with a knife after a failed business deals.
“The victims were trying to calm him down when the attack happened”, the statement reads.
Babaseyi added that two of the victims, Gbadamasi Ibrahim, and Chinedu died while being taken to the hospital.
“The other three victims, Mohammed Abubakar, Ashiru Adamu, and Paul Lawrence are in critical condition but responding to treatment.
“The suspect ran away after the attack but was later caught by detectives. He is now in police custody.
“The case and the suspect have been sent to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for investigation and prosecution.
“The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the attack and promised that justice will be served. He urged people to stay alert and report any suspicious or violent behaviour to the police”, the statement states.
