A Ghana-based popular cleric, Rev. Michael Kofi Appiah, has reportedly died under controversial circumstances after being found unresponsive in a guest house in Takoradi, where he had checked in with a woman identified as Mrs. Linda Mensah.
The incident, which occurred last week at about 10 p.m., involved the Founder and Leader of Light of Faith Ministry, who was said to have gone to the facility for a private meeting with the woman.
According to accounts, the situation took a tragic turn during their stay when the cleric suddenly became unresponsive.
Sources indicated that Mrs. Mensah, described as a married woman and a student, raised the alarm after noticing that Rev. Appiah was no longer responsive.
Consequently, staff of the guest house were alerted following repeated banging on the door.
Efforts were immediately made to revive him; however, all attempts proved unsuccessful as he was confirmed dead at the scene. His body was later evacuated from the premises.
Although the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed, the incident has sparked conversations around health risks and personal conduct, particularly in relation to the use of performance-enhancing substances.
