Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian has claimed that US
President Donald Trump has no grounds to deny Iran its nuclear rights.

He was quoted by the Iranian Student News Agency on Sunday,
criticizing Trump and the United States’ efforts to hinder Iranian nuclear
capabilities, as reported by Reuters.

“Trump asserts that Iran cannot exercise its nuclear rights
but does not clarify the alleged offense. Who is he to deny a nation its
rights?” Pezeshkian was reported as saying.

Recently, Trump stated that Iran has finally accepted one of
the most difficult conditions in the negotiations aimed at resolving the
ongoing conflict.

He suggested that, for this reason, the situation in Iran
should be resolved ‘relatively soon’.

The US leader remarked that developments in Iran are moving
“smoothly” and that it “should be coming to an end shortly”.

He addressed his supporters during an event in Las Vegas,
saying, “The situation in Iran is progressing smoothly – we can act as we
wish.”

The US president also indicated that a potential meeting
between the United States and Iran could occur over the weekend, which adds to
the optimism that the conflict in Iran may be approaching its conclusion.

Trump noted that Iran has agreed to return its enriched
uranium and to refrain from pursuing nuclear weapons for a period exceeding 20
years.

“They have agreed to return the nuclear dust to us,” Trump
remarked, referring to the uranium.

Iran’s nuclear activities were a contentious issue during
discussions in Pakistan the previous weekend.

“We will keep an eye on the developments,” Trump stated at
the White House, adding: “However, I am confident that we are very close to
finalizing an agreement with Iran.”
