Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke, Wednesday inaugurated a 52-member campaign council for his re-election, naming Senator Lere Oyewumi (Osun West) as the Director-General.
He also announced Kolapo Alimi (Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment) as Deputy Director-General, Hon. Sunday Bisi, (PDP Chairman) as Advisor, Dupe Adeleke Sanni (the governor’s sister) as Chairman, committee on market women, artisans and support group mobilisation, David Adeleke (Davido) as Chairman, youth mobilisation.
Speaking at the inauguration, Adeleke said he already felt “the cloud of victory” around him, his team, and the party, the Accord.
He said, “This is how we started in 2022. Today is the march to victory on August 15th,” adding that the campaign council is meant to ensure continuity and good governance.
Senator Oyewumi said the campaign council would set up committees to manage activities across wards and units for the campaign.
