National Vice President of the North Central Pentecostal Fellowship (PFN) of Nigeria, Prophet Isa El-Buba, has alleged that a military officer privately told him that soldiers are being ordered to stand down even when they have located terrorists and are ready to engage.
Speaking in an interview with Sahara TV shared in the Middle Belt Forum group chat in Kaduna, El-Buba said, “I asked one of the military officers, why are you not facing the terrorists when you know their location? He said we have not been given the command.
He said, “I asked a Soldier why they are not facing the terrorists, he said they’ve not been given the Command.
The military officer, according to Prophet El-Buba, highlighted that ‘When they locate the terrorists and want to take action, they receive an immediate call that says do not act — Who is the person giving that directive?” VP furiously asked.
El-Buba cited a recent incident that he said captured the deadly consequences of such interference.
He described how a community alerted security agents of an advancing terrorist threat and received military protection within 24 hours, only for those same soldiers to be withdrawn within the same timeframe, leaving the villagers completely exposed before the terrorists unleashed violent attacks on them.
