Management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has clarified reports surrounding a recent water supply interruption, describing the incident as a short-lived disruption caused by external maintenance works.
In a statement issued by the General Manager, Martin Zarybnicky, it confirmed that the disruption lasted for one day and was due to emergency maintenance undertaken by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board, which began on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
The hotel explained that upon noticing the situation, its management swiftly activated contingency measures to ensure the continuous availability of water across its facilities. These measures, it said, were effective in maintaining guest comfort and ensuring that services remained uninterrupted throughout the period.
Management also dismissed circulating social media claims suggesting prolonged water shortages, describing them as inaccurate and misleading. It emphasised that water supply was fully restored on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, shortly after the maintenance work was concluded.
Since the restoration, the hotel noted that it has maintained a steady and reliable water supply while continuing to operate at full capacity across all its outlets.
The statement by the General Manager, expressed appreciation to guests and stakeholders for their understanding, reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to delivering high standards of hospitality and an excellent guest experience.
