Gusau International Airport is set to boost Zamfara state’s connectivity and economy with the announcement of two airlines launching commercial flights.
The Commissioner of Information, Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa in Gusau Monday, said the planned routes include Gusau to Abuja via Sokoto and Gusau to Abuja via Kano, with each airline operating at least two flights per week.
“This development is expected to significantly improve business travel and economic activity in the region, making it easier for investors to access Zamfara,” he said.
Dantawasa added that the airport’s completion is a major milestone for Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration.
He explained that the move is part of efforts to transform Zamfara into an attractive investment destination, with the state government working to enhance infrastructure and promote economic growth.
