The Zamfara state chapter of the All Progressives Congressives (APC) has declared total and unconditional support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party pledged to ensure peaceful and transparent party congresses.
The resolutions were contained in a communique issued at the end of a high-level APC Stakeholders’ Meeting held Saturday, at Government House, Gusau.
The communique was read by the Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle.
The meeting reaffirmed the party’s total, unified, and unconditional loyalty to Governor Lawal as leader of the APC in Zamfara state.
Stakeholders resolved to consolidate internal cohesion, strengthen party structures, and ensure discipline at all levels to guarantee stability and coordination within the party.
The declaration comes weeks after public disputes over control of the state party structure following Lawal’s defection from the PDP to APC.
In a key political move, the stakeholders formally endorsed both President Tinubu and Governor Lawal for re-election in 2027.
The communique stated that the people of Zamfara, in conjunction with the entire APC structure in the state, unequivocally support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
