2027: Adamawa ADC holds stakeholders engagements, says party will be on ballot

Adamawa State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress ( ADC) weekend, urged its members and supporters across the state, not to panic but to remain resolute, firm and focus, assuring that the party will field candidates for various elective positions in the state in 2027 election.

The party gave this assurance in a communique issued at the end of its strategic stakeholders meeting in Yola, which brought together local government party chairmen, state working committee and other stakeholders.

The communique was  read by the party state secretary, Barrister Shagnah Pwamaddi.

Pwamaddi noted that the publicity and legal departments of the party have also been urged to intensifies enlightenments efforts and engagements  with party members and stakeholders especially at the grassroots on the true prospect of the party in the state.

 It urged all party aspirants to engaged with party structures at all levels for the purpose of declaration of interest and campaign

The communique further noted that  the party under Senetor David Mark leadership is intact going by the Supreme Court judgement.

He said  the party will proceeds with election activities inline with the Electoral Act, saying  hopefully by next week the party will commence selling of nominations  and expression of interest forms to those wishing to contest under its platform.

Shedding more light on this strategic engagements in an interview with journalists after the meeting, the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Martins Dickson, said the engagement have become necessary after the Supreme Court verdict to enable stakeholders have a proper understanding of where the party is with the view to strengthen grassroots followership.

On his part, Adamawa APC Chairman, Barrister Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, expressed satisfaction with the Supreme Court’s decision which restored David Mark leadership.

 He said it has put to rest the so- called leadership tussle of the party at the national level and will enable the party to focus on winning 2027 election.

On Senetor Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani’s defection from the party to the newly formed National Democratic party (NDC),  he maintained that he is not aware, noting if it turns out to be true, he wishes her well.
