A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adetokunbo Pearse, says Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, will emerge the party’s presidential candidate by consensus.
Pearse spoke on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Saturday.
He declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, will fall into the pit it is digging for the PDP.
According to him, Nigeria does not need a very much older person as President but an energetic and vibrant young man who would pilot the affairs of the country.
“Makinde will be PDP’s presidential candidate through consensus.The hole they have been digging for the PDP to sink into, APC is sinking into itself.
“All these attacks on us have only strengthened our resolve. We will have consensus candidates for every position nationwide to reduce our expenditure and channel it into the main election, not primaries.
“This election will be APC vs others. The ‘others’ will fall under the PDP umbrella, and we will defeat Tinubu,” he said.
