According to Babangida Aliyu, the PDP leadership has already taken steps to welcome Jonathan back into active participation within the party ahead of the next general election.
He suggested that the former president has received the necessary approval and support from the party hierarchy to begin consultations and political engagements ahead of the 2027 race. His comments have since generated reactions within political circles, especially among supporters of both the ruling and opposition parties.
Speaking during the interview, Aliyu stated, “The party has given him waiver to come and start following. In other words he has been declared and cleared as a candidate of the PDP for the presidential election, and that is President Jonathan.”
