Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure a dominant share of votes in Kaduna State in the 2027 general elections, projecting up to 70 percent support.
The governor made the remarks in Kaduna while receiving members of the presidential media team at a state banquet, Blueprint.ngreports.
Sani said his projection was based on what he described as the President’s performance in office, which he claimed has translated into growing public approval within the state.
He argued that while political sentiment on social media may suggest otherwise, actual voting patterns would reflect strong grassroots support for the President when elections are held.
The governor further maintained that the All Progressives Congress (APC) enjoys a strong political structure in Kaduna State, adding that there is little or no viable opposition capable of dislodging the party in the state.
He also linked the expected electoral outcome to ongoing federal projects and interventions in Kaduna, which he said have strengthened public trust in the Tinubu administration.
According to him, President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated greater attention to Northern Nigeria compared to previous governments, citing the approval of major road and rail infrastructure projects in Kaduna State as evidence of commitment to regional development.
Sani noted that such projects are expected to improve connectivity, stimulate economic activity, and create employment opportunities once completed.
He also highlighted increased financial allocations to state governments under the current administration, stating that it has enabled sub-national governments to expand development efforts at the grassroots level.
The governor added that improved cooperation between federal and state authorities has enhanced governance outcomes and service delivery across sectors.
“There is no opposition in Kaduna against President Tinubu in 2027, and we make no apologies for that, given his support to the state and its people,” Sani said.
Meanwhile, members of the presidential media team, led by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, also inspected ongoing federal projects in the state, including sections of the Kaduna-Abuja highway, as part of a broader assessment tour of infrastructure development in the North-West.
