The IDF spokesperson announced on Motzei Shabbos that an IDF reserve soldier was seriously wounded, and a reserve officer and another reserve soldier were moderately wounded after an explosive drone launched by Hezbollah exploded in the Shlomi area of northern Israel.

In a separate incident earlier in the day, Hezbollah launched several explosive drones that detonated near IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon, moderately wounding a soldier.

The IDF stated: “In several incidents today (Shabbos), explosive drones launched by the Hezbollah terrorist organization fell inside Israel near the Lebanese border. In one of the incidents, an IDF reserve soldier was seriously wounded, while a reserve officer and another reserve soldier sustained moderate injuries. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified. This constitutes another violation of the ceasefire understandings by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.”

The military added that the Israeli Air Force intercepted several projectiles launched by Hezbollah toward Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon, with no casualties reported.

In another incident, an explosive drone struck an unmanned engineering vehicle belonging to the IDF. The vehicle was damaged, but Baruch Hashem, no soldiers were injured.

Throughout Shabbos, warning sirens sounded in yishuvim across the Upper and Western Galil following hostile aircraft infiltrations and rocket fire from Lebanon. Residents were instructed to remain near protected areas.

Hezbollah also launched rockets and mortar shells toward Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon, with at least one launch intercepted by the Israeli Air Force.

A potentially serious incident was narrowly avoided Shabbos morning in Nahariya when an unmanned aerial vehicle was discovered on the roof of a school.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

Large police forces from the Asher district, together with bomb disposal teams from the coastal district, arrived at the scene, evacuated students and staff, and neutralized the device using a special crane.

Security officials urged the public to exercise heightened caution and immediately report suspicious objects.
