Africa Prudential Plc has officially launched Sabivest, a cutting-edge digital platform designed to simplify how Nigerians manage and grow their investments.
Unveiled on Thursday in Lagos, Sabivest said it has positioned itself as an all-in-one shareholder and investment management app, offering users the ability to consolidate and monitor their investment portfolios seamlessly from a single dashboard.
Speaking at the launch, Chairperson of Africa Prudential Plc, Christabel Onyejekwe, described the platform as a milestone in the company’s innovation journey.
She noted that Sabivest was built to empower both individual and institutional investors with a comprehensive ecosystem that simplifies access to financial assets while enhancing portfolio growth.
“We are extremely proud of this major milestone,” she said, emphasizing that the platform reinforces the company’s leadership in driving innovation within Nigeria’s capital market.
Also speaking, the Managing Director, Catherine Nwosu, highlighted the practical problems Sabivest aims to solve. According to her, the app was developed in response to persistent pain points in emerging markets—ranging from limited visibility over investments to difficulties in managing dividends and accessing diverse financial instruments.
She explained that Sabivest offers robust features including consolidated portfolio views, real-time performance tracking, asset allocation insights, and an integrated e-dividend management system. Investors can also benefit from dividend notifications, historical records, and recovery support for unclaimed dividends—an issue that has long affected retail participation in Nigeria’s capital market.
Beyond its technical capabilities, the launch also created a platform for deeper industry reflection. A roundtable discussion themed “Building Trust and Driving Innovation in Nigeria’s Capital Market” brought together key stakeholders to examine how technology and collaboration can reshape investor confidence and market efficiency.
Panelists at the session included Toni Sanni of Emerging Africa Advisory, Kazeem Shomade of United Capital Plc, Ugochi Obi of Nigerian Exchange Limited, alongside other senior executives from Africa Prudential. Discussions centred on the importance of trust, transparency, and innovation in deepening participation in Nigeria’s capital market, particularly among younger and diaspora investors.
Sabivest is strategically targeted at retail investors, young professionals, and Nigerians in the diaspora—groups that have historically faced barriers to entry due to complexity and lack of access. By lowering these barriers, the app is expected to drive broader participation and foster a more inclusive investment culture.
Available for download on both iOS and Android platforms, Sabivest arrives at a time when digital transformation is reshaping financial services across Africa. For Africa Prudential Plc, the platform is more than just a product launch, it signals a broader commitment to redefining how investors engage with the capital market in an increasingly digital age.
