Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation has officially submitted his presidential nomination form at the national secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Amaechi submitted the form on Thursday, describing his presidential ambition as a mission to restore Nigeria’s dignity and promote national unity and development.
“My mission is to fight to restore dignity to Nigerians, make our country great and respected in the comity of nations, and bring unity, peace, prosperity and progress to our people,” he said.
The development marks another significant step in the ADC’s preparations for the 2027 elections as more political figures and aspirants continue to align with the party.
The atmosphere at the ADC national secretariat reflected increasing public interest and confidence in the party, amid expectations of a political realignment ahead of the next general election.
Supporters and party stakeholders expressed optimism about the ADC’s vision, focusing on unity, competence, economic recovery, and national progress.
