MC Fish, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, has broken silence on their crashed marriage.
While weighing in on Frank Edoho’s marital saga, he admitted that both he and his former partner were unfaithful during their relationship. He claimed the actress cheated on him with multiple men, whose names he wouldn’t mention, and he wasn’t a saint either.
He said he would never embarrass himself by bringing his private marital issues to social media. The celebrity hype man said that, if not for Anita making their divorce public, many would never have known they had parted ways, claiming he had already moved out of the house in July, while news of their split only surfaced in December.
Speaking on Frank’s marital issues, he used himself as an example, pointing out how when he left his marriage, he also left behind past relationships and people he had been involved with, choosing instead to start afresh.
He stressed that cheating doesn’t solve cheating, adding that women supporting cheating in marriages may not fully understand the realities of committed relationships.
“In my marriage, both parties cheated. I cheated on Anita Joseph, and she cheated on me, too, with countless people. If I start to mention names, everybody will pause. In the cheating, I had to leave the marriage, and I cut off every relationship I had in the marriage. I moved on with my life with a clean slate with a new person, not with the ladies I was cheating with. I left the house in July 2025”.
Recall that in December of last year, Joseph had finally confirmed that her marriage had ended, noting how life has a way of testing our strength in ways we never expect, especially in marriage. She revealed that she has been walking through a season of deep reflection, pain, and healing, and was choosing grace, growth, and faith.
Insiders, while speaking to a famous blogger, alleged that the 5-year union had come to an end after facing significant personal and emotional challenges. It was revealed that the actress lost two babies – stillbirth and a painful miscarriage, and had also endured domestic violence.
Following her divorce, Anita issued a statement, saying she is single and not looking for a partner. She noted that guys have been bombarding her with calls. Anita noted how 8 years and 11 days with her husband isn’t 8 months and said she needs her head cleared.
The curvy actress had addressed those urging her to share her story, questioning why they desperately want to hear it and why they can’t tell their own, too. She admonished them to respect people’s privacy.
In another post, she addressed those waiting to hear her talk, telling them to keep waiting, as she is only focused on the outfit she will wear to church.
MC Fish has since moved on with another woman.
Earlier this year, photos and videos of the MC and his new girlfriend had gone viral online, drawing backlash from netizens.
Addressing it, MC Fish said life has always been unfair to men, and he stands by his point. He noted how if a woman leaves a relationship and finds another man, people will say she found happiness, but it is different for a man, as he would be accused of cheating on his wife with his new partner.
Also speaking out, Gbemso made it clear that she didn’t wreck his marriage; when she met him, he was single, and they started their relationship. According to her, both of them dated people in the past who didn’t appreciate them. She said that when they found each other, it was so beautiful, and she questioned why people were calling MC Fish a gold digger when he had been taking care of and providing for her.
