Gombe Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has reiterated the strength and unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The Governor stated this shortly after participating in the APC Governorship Primary Election at his Jekadafari Ward in Gombe Local Government Area.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the direct voting process yesterday, Governor Inuwa Yahaya commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the exercise across the state, describing the turnout of party members as impressive and encouraging.
He urged APC members in the state to remain committed to the ideals and unity of the party, stressing that Gombe remains a stronghold of the APC with the capacity to record landslide victory at all levels.
“As far as I am concerned, I have said it before and I will say it again, there is no victor and no vanquished in the primary elections. We all belong to the same family. What remains for us now is to consolidate on our gains and prepare adequately for the general elections,” the Governor stated.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya expressed optimism that the APC in Gombe State would deliver a convincing electoral margin for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s governorship candidate in the state, as well as candidates contesting for other elective positions.
Also speaking, the leading aspirant in the primary election and winner of the contest in Jekadafari Ward and across the state, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, appealed to party supporters to unite in the collective effort to strengthen the APC and consolidate on the achievements recorded under the leadership of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya with a view moving Gombe State forward.
