Arsenal are exploring a move for Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers ahead of the summer transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his squad after winning the Premier League title.
The 23-year-old impressed for Villa during the season, helping Unai Emery’s side secure a fourth-place finish and win the Europa League.
His performances also earned him a place in England’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Reports indicated that Arsenal have identified attacking reinforcements as a major priority after ending a 22-year wait for the Premier League title.
The club are particularly focused on adding a new option on the left side of attack, with Rogers emerging as one of the names under serious consideration.
Although naturally viewed as an attacking midfielder, Rogers also featured regularly on the left wing for Villa during the campaign.
According to Transfermarkt statistics, the England international started twice from the left flank in the Europa League and 15 times in the Premier League.
Arsenal are reportedly attracted by the player’s creativity, physicality and tactical flexibility as they prepare for another title challenge next season.
Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring Rogers’ situation.
However, Aston Villa are expected to demand a huge fee before considering any sale.
The Midlands club reportedly value Rogers close to £100 million, a figure that mirrors the amount Manchester City paid for Jack Grealish in 2021.
Villa’s stance contrasts with the previous season when Rogers was still developing into a regular starter before emerging as one of the club’s key attacking players during their successful domestic and European campaign.
Arsenal have also considered several alternatives in attacking areas, including Anthony Gordon before his proposed move to Barcelona gathered pace.
Rafael Leao, Rodrygo and Nico Williams have also been linked with the North London club.
A major attacking arrival this summer could also place the futures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli under fresh scrutiny at the Emirates Stadium.
