The spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Habibu Mohammed has stated that the former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had a working relationship with the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi before he joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
This statement was contained in a post that ARISE NEWS shared on its official X handle on Friday, May 22, 2026.
This is coming after Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the former governor of Anambra state joined the African Democratic Congress, ADC and later defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC.
In the post that surfaced online, Habibu Mohammed stated that Kwankwaso and Obi have been working together before moving to ADC and NDC. He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu invited Kwankwaso for a private meeting to discuss working with him but he declined.
Mohammed stated that it is not true that the former governor of Kano state is working for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
