It is raining congratulations for Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze ‘Akin’ as he bags chieftaincy title in Abia State.
On his Instagram page, the legendary actor announced that he has been ordained a Chief with the title – MFR, IHIE 1 of Eluoma Uzuakoli Autonomous Community, Abia State.
“My people, I present to you Chief Chinedu Ikedieze – MFR, IHIE 1 of Eluoma Uzuakoli Autonomous Community, Abia State”.

A month ago, Kwam1’s estranged wife, Emmanuella Ropo, was bestowed with the title of Seriki Iyalaje of Egbaland by HRH Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland. Sharing clips from the ceremony, she expressed her appreciation for those who stood by her throughout the journey.
Similarly, Obi Cubana had received a traditional honour in Anambra State. He was conferred with the chieftaincy title Okpataozueora I of Oba by the Igwe of Oba, His Royal Majesty, Engr. Sir Augustine Chinedu Emelobe, GON (Eze Okpoko II of Oba).
This was another chieftaincy title that came on the heels of a conferred chieftaincy, the Ife Igbo-Ji-Ka, by the Igwe and traditional council of Enugwu–Ukwu na Umunri, led by Igwe Ralph Obumnemeh Ekpeh.
Last year, Yul Edochie announced that he had bagged a chieftaincy title – Isi Ogidi Ntorobia Niine, meaning Warrior Leader of Igbo Youths worldwide. The controversial actor bragged about his feat stating that history had been made and a new dawn had come in Igbo land.
Yoruba actress, Mama No Network, was conferred with a chieftaincy title in Ijebuland. She revealed that she was conferred with Yeye Owu Ojuwo of Ijebuland.
Two years ago, Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, received a Chieftaincy title ‘Ugoh Egebema 1 of ONELGA’ in his hole town of Egbema community, Rivers State. The goalkeeper was conferred with the title by the town’s paramount ruler.
Singer, Portable, was crowned the King of Streets in Ondo State. The street singer was captured in the midst of Yoruba traditional rulers in Ore, Ondo State, as he was ordained.
A year back, he was conferred with a Chieftaincy title Amuludun of Tigbo, a town in Aworiland, by the ruler of the land.
The controversial singer had bagged another title in his locality, as he was declared the Godfather of single mothers. The singer in the videos was captured surrounded by women in the same attire as himself, as he proudly declared himself as ‘ZEH GODFATHER.’
In September 2023, Monalisa Chinda was conferred with a Chieftaincy title in recognition of her impact on her culture. The actress no doubt deserved it as she had been a staunch promoter of her culture and tradition.
Also, in 2023, Pete Edochie, added to his feathers after bagging a Chieftaincy title, Ibobi Umuleri in his maternal home.
Actor, Jim Iyke was also conferred with a chieftaincy title, “OHADIKE 1 OF NDIGBO” in Ghana. This was in recognition of his tremendous achievements and contributions to the African entertainment industry and Igbo people.
To add to it, BBNaija Pepper Dem winner, Whitemoney bagged a chieftaincy title as the “Ùgwù ńdi Igbo,” meaning “The Pride of Igbos”. The reality star said he intended to use his title to positively inspire youths in his community in Lagos State.
