Court Grants El-Rufai ₦100m Bail Amid DSS Prosecution

The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, bail in the sum of ₦100 million following his arraignment by the DSS on an amended five-count charge.

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik ruled that El-Rufai must provide one surety in like sum, who must reside in either Maitama or Asokoro, Abuja, and own landed property with a valid Certificate of Occupancy.

The court also ordered the former governor to surrender all international passports, report to DSS headquarters every last Friday of the month, and submit a letter of attestation from the Chairman of the Kaduna Traditional Council.

Failure to comply with the conditions, the court warned, will lead to automatic revocation of the bail.
