Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has stirred reactions online after sharing a subtle post that many interpreted as a jab, following Peter Obi’s reported switch from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Reports had earlier indicated that Obi left the ADC for the NDC alongside Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso during a political engagement in Abuja. According to TheCable, Obi confirmed his departure from the ADC, while Kwankwaso also noted that he was engaging in “wide-ranging consultations” with the NDC.
Following the development, which has generated widespread discussion, Cubana Chiefpriest who recently revealed plans to document his political journey in a book remarked that in politics, the real competition is often not from opposition parties, but from within one’s own party.
“Experience is the best teacher. Someday, I will write a book, or better still, tell my political story. In Politics The Major Competition Is Not The Opposition It’s Your Fellow Party Members. Na Why Uncle Peter Dey Run Up & Down,” he wrote in a caption.
