Efforts by Emon’s family to locate him

The family says they have already contacted the High Commission of Bangladesh in Kenya as well as Dutch diplomatic authorities in an effort to trace him.

However, they say there has been no breakthrough so far. The case has sparked concern online, with many people sharing the appeal in the hope that someone in Kenya may have seen or interacted with Emon during his travels.

Kenya remains one of East Africa’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors from around the world to attractions including Mombasa, safari parks, beaches and cultural heritage sites.

However, disappearances involving foreign nationals can become difficult to investigate when there is limited information about their movements or accommodation.

Kenyan woman missing in Saudi

A family in Nairobi County is worried sick about their relative, who has not communicated with them since the beginning of the year.

Yvonne Vugutsa travelled to Saudi Arabia in January 2024 in search of greener pastures, signing a two-year contract that would expire in 2026.

After completing her contract, she fell ill, but it was alleged that her employer abandoned her, making it hard for her to return to Nairobi.

Her family is worried about her whereabouts after their communication was cut since the beginning of the year 2026, when she was supposed to return home.

They appealed to the Kenyan government, relevant authorities, and the Kenyan diaspora community in Saudi Arabia for help in locating her.
