Fresh political tension has emerged over the possibility of a Peter Obi–Rabiu Kwankwaso joint presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the spokesman to Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, Sanusi Bature, has dismissed the alliance as unrealistic.
Bature said the proposed pairing would not survive due to deep ideological differences and alleged political mistrust between both camps.
