Gumi made his comments in a Facebook post on Saturday shortly after the news broke.

While he maintained that fighting terrorism is necessary, he criticized the idea of doing so in collaboration with certain foreign powers, which he suggested have also been responsible for civilian d+aths in other conflicts.

He wrote, “It’s a religious obligation to ann+hilate terrorists, but not with Beelzebub and hands stained with the blood of innocent men, women, and children.”
