Riziki Diana Asha is concerned about her two sons, who were last seen with their father, Charles Munene Njiru, before they disappeared without a trace.
The boys, Ryan Louis Mutugi and Dylan Luwi Mwenda, were last seen in January 2026, leaving their mother deeply worried.
“The matter involving these children was reported to the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services under the State Department for Children Services by the mother of the children. She informed the office that they had been living in Gakwegori for five years. The father of the children, Charles Munene Njiru, was working outside Kenya and had returned home,” part of the report read.

It was reported that Munene returned home after a stint working in Qatar before he allegedly disappeared with the children.
Munene informs Riziki he’s stepping out
He reportedly left the house with the two boys one afternoon, saying they were going to the garage for car maintenance. He allegedly informed his wife, who reportedly did not object.
Riziki did not know it would be the last time she would see her husband and children. Since then, she has neither heard from her husband nor received any communication about her sons.
“Police officers in Embu have reportedly been trying to trace both the father and the children for six months, yet all efforts so far have been unsuccessful.
The mother continues to live in unimaginable pain, not knowing where her children are, whether they are safe, healthy, or even attending school. Every day that passes without answers feel torturous for the family,” the post continued.

Kenyans react as two brothers go missing
Many Kenyans sympathised with Riziki, with many questions lingering in their minds about what may have happened as they reacted in the comment section.
Faith Wanza:
“Equal parenting does not mean ignoring the other parent’s emotional needs or right to know where her children are. Basic communication, such as updating about their whereabouts, is not a threat to a father’s equal role; it is respectful co-parenting.
The mother was holding down the fort alone while he was abroad, so her need for peace of mind and regular access is completely reasonable. Forcefully taking the children without informing her is not equality; it is unilateral action that breaks trust. Informing is not asking permission, it is acknowledging her ongoing role. That is the bare minimum.”
Mercy Kimani:
“Those children are safe under their dad. No need to raise an alarm.”

“Where I come from, children belong to the father, so that woman should mind her own business because the children are very safe.”
Fred Mutungi:
“I believe they are safer under their father’s custody and most likely he travelled abroad with them.”
Agness Wa Mnjama:
“It would have been better if he took the children and at least informed the mother that they were safe. This is wrong. He could have texted her and told her not to worry. Taking them without communication is unacceptable.”
