Instead of celebrating with other Arsenal fans, the man and his wife went to the cemetery to share the news with their late son, Takayo Nembhard.

Dressed in an Arsenal FC jersey, the middle-aged man spoke to his son as if he were alive, gently patting the headstone.

“After 22 years, yesterday we won the league, son, and we wish you were here to celebrate it with us, trust me. There’s been so much pain waiting for this, but we finally won it. I brought you the Gunners flag,” he said.

The man, in a bittersweet moment, took out an Arsenal flag and placed it on his son’s grave, as the wind blew it wide and steady.

He said he brought Takayo the good news and the flag so that he could also celebrate with his friends in the afterlife.

He then took a cloth and cleaned the football-themed tribute placed on his son’s grave, revealing the word “Arsenal”, showing how much the young man loved the club.

He also wiped water from the picture of his son on the grave, promising to return again after the team wins the Champions League.

“One more Premier League in our basket, we are going for the Champions League as well, and I will come and celebrate it with you again,” he said.

In another video, the grieving father revealed that Takayo was fatally stabbed while at a carnival.
