The head pastor of Heaven Investment Chapel, Senior Servant Joemens, has initiated legal action against several institutions over the alleged unlawful demolition of structures belonging to his church.…....
The lawsuit targets GLOBAL DELIVERY LIMITED, AYNOK HOLDINGS LIMITED (DJATO), JOLLY HOMES (Oyarifa Cottage Estate), and the Ghana Police Service.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with GhPage Media, Senior Servant Joemens claimed he legally acquired seven plots of land from the appropriate authorities and possesses gazetted court documents to support his ownership claims.
According to the pastor, despite his documentation, the companies proceeded to demolish the church’s structures without any court order authorising the exercise.
He further alleged that before the demolition took place, attempts were made to intimidate him into surrendering the land to the real estate developers.
Senior Servant Joemens claimed he was arrested on several occasions, which he believes was part of efforts to pressure him into giving up the property.
“After several unsuccessful attempts to force me out, they took the law into their own hands and demolished all the structures I had put up on the land,” he alleged.
The pastor also stated that following the demolition, he had contacted several authorities to seek clarification over the involvement of police officers during the exercise, but all his attempts to get answers have been unsuccessful.
