Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is scheduled to visit Ekiti State on Saturday, May 30, 2026, for a high-profile one-day working tour.
The official announcement was made in a statement issued by Yinka Oyebode, the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the First Lady, who is also the National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI, will be accompanied by some state first ladies and top government officials.
She is expected to be received by Governor Biodun Oyebanji, his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, and other top state officials.
During the visit, Senator Tinubu will commission a newly constructed ICT Centre at Ekiti State University, facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative.
She is also scheduled to meet with traditional rulers under the umbrella of the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council.
The statement further revealed that the First Lady would flag off the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Campaign Rally for Governor Oyebanji’s re-election at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti.
According to the statement, Senator Tinubu, through the Renewed Hope Initiative, has carried out at least 16 intervention programmes in Ekiti State since 2023.
The interventions reportedly include material and financial empowerment programmes targeting women, youths, students, farmers, vulnerable households, small-scale businesses, and persons with disabilities.
Mrs Oyebanji said adequate arrangements had been put in place to ensure a successful and memorable visit by the First Lady.
