Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, have arrived in Ijebu-Ode for the grand celebration of the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival.

The high-profile arrivals occurred as the ancient town transforms into a vibrant hub of culture, tradition, and fashion.

Governor Dapo Abiodun arrived dressed in magnificent, classic Yoruba traditional attire, maintaining his reputation for showcasing immense “steeze” and cultural pride at the annual event.

As a prominent guest, Seyi Tinubu’s arrival was captured live by major media outlets, adding significant political and social glamour to the festivities.

Their arrival was supported by massive security deployment, with the Ogun State Police Command putting over 2,500 personnel on the ground to guarantee a hitch-free event.

The 2026 festival, under the theme “Celebrating the Legacy of Late Oba Sikiru Adetona,” serves as a grand, solemn tribute honoring the 65-year historic reign of the late Awujale of Ijebuland, who passed away last year.

Despite the royal transition, organizers confirmed that the parade of age-grade groups (Regberegbe) and the iconic equestrian displays will continue to anchor the world-class celebration
