A Nigerian lady has shared an uncomfortable experience she allegedly had after visiting her male friend to console him following the death of his father.
According to her, the young man had called her while crying over the loss of his dad, which made her decide to visit him and support him during the difficult moment.
In her words, she said:
“Seeing him in that state really broke me. Before you know, he started coming closer. He held me in a very funny way that I didn’t like.”
The lady explained that while she was comforting him, she suddenly became uncomfortable after noticing his behaviour had changed from grief to something more intimate.
She said she quickly texted her female friend to call her phone as an excuse to leave the house after allegedly noticing he wanted her to spend the night with him.
“As I looked down, he had an erection. So I gave him an excuse, and he replied ‘I thought you were going to stay and pass the night?’ Me that just wanted to pay you a condolence visit,” she added.
Her narration has generated reactions online, with many social media users debating boundaries, male friendships, and emotional vulnerability.
The lady added that experiences like this have made her lose hope in maintaining platonic friendships with men.
