The loved ones of Jessica Akersid Omoke are mourning after devastating updates emerged about their missing relative.

The mother of three was reported missing to the Crystal Police Department on Wednesday, May 13, after she was last seen in the 9300 block of Fernbrook in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

She was last seen wearing dark navy blue nurse scrubs as her family launched a desperate search for her ahead of her daughters’ graduation ceremony.

“During a search of the area surrounding Jessica’s last known location, a deceased person was located. The deceased person is now with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, with identification pending. At this time, the search has ceased.

We want to thank the communities of Crystal and Maple Grove, along with our local medical community, for their willingness to assist in the search. Jessica’s family is requesting privacy at this time. The Crystal Police Department is continuing an ongoing investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident,” authorities said.

The 51-year-old registered nurse was reportedly found dead a day before her two daughters’ graduation, leaving the family shattered.
