According to a report by Leadership published on Thursday, April 30, 2026, Nyesom Wike has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s future, stating that the country will emerge stronger, more united, and more peaceful after the 2027 general elections.….....
Speaking in Abuja on issues relating to governance and national development, the former Rivers State governor said he remains optimistic about the direction the country is heading. He explained that the efforts currently being made across various sectors of government are expected to contribute significantly to national stability and long-term progress.
According to Wike, the reforms and developmental initiatives being implemented are part of broader strategies aimed at strengthening the nation and improving the lives of citizens. He noted that although Nigeria continues to face several challenges, he believes the country is gradually moving toward a more stable and united future.
The FCT minister further stated that sustained cooperation among federal, state, and local authorities will play a major role in achieving peace and national growth. He emphasized that unity among leaders and citizens remains essential to building a stronger Nigeria capable of overcoming political, economic, and security difficulties.
Wike also stressed that meaningful development cannot thrive in an atmosphere of instability. According to him, peace remains one of the most important foundations for economic growth, social progress, and national advancement. He added that leaders must continue to prioritize the welfare of the people and work together in the interest of the country.
