Niger South Senatorial aspirant and former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Muhammad Nami, has assured his teeming constituents that if elected as Senator representing Zone A in the forthcoming general elections, he will not abandon them. He gave this assurance during a meeting with party stalwarts in Agaie and Katcha Local Government Areas on Wednesday.
Addressing the stakeholders and supporters, Nami noted that he was not in the race to play politics of deception.
His words: “I am not seeking your votes to use you during elections and abandon them afterwards, or to seek your votes only to disappear after getting into office. I am also not seeking to occupy a seat in the Senate without touching the lives of the people or even making promises merely for political convenience. “
He underscored his mission in politics by emphasising that, “Politics must not be about deception, selfishness, or exploitation. Leadership must be about responsibility, compassion, and measurable service,” He said.
Nami, who leveraged his past experiences and philanthropic activities, used the visit to announce several life-changing packages.
In Agaie Local Government, he revealed that “following a meeting of the Trustees of our Foundation on 17th April 2026, the following additional interventions were approved for Agaie, Kintifin, and Kintako communities:
The combined interventions for Agaie, Kintifin, and Kintako included the payment of JAMB registration fees for one hundred (100) students annually for the next ten (10) years; sponsorship of five (5) students annually to Police Secondary School, Nami, for the next ten (10) years, including: School fees, WAEC fees,NECO fees; sponsorship of three (3) students annually to either study: Accountancy, ICT, Medicine at Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai.
Specifically, in Agaie, he promised to
provide five (5) additional boreholes for Agaie town; five (5) motorcycles for the Agaie vigilante group; construction of one solar-powered borehole for Agaie Central Mosque to serve worshippers and surrounding residents;
construction of a befitting badminton court for badminton players in Agaie.
In Kintifin, he promised to provide five (5) boreholes to key villages and communities in need of portable drinking water and a solar-powered borehole for Kutiriko Central Mosque. While in Kintako, he promised to provide five (5) boreholes to key villages and communities facing water challenges and donation of ₦20 million to support the completion of the Zako Community Central Mosque.
In Katcha Local Government, Nami made similar educational support pledges in addition to the promise of providing fifteen (15) boreholes across Katcha town and communities within the Local Government Area, the construction of one solar-powered borehole for a Central Mosque to serve worshippers and the surrounding community”
Earlier, the Agaie and Katcha Chairmen of the All Progressives Party welcomed Muhammad Nami and his entourage, promising their support and a level playing ground to every aspirant in the forthcoming party primaries to present a credible candidate in the general elections.
