Nollywood actress and filmmaker Yvonne Jegede has called for the release of social media blogger Justice Crack, describing his ongoing detention as “embarrassing.”

In a video statement, Jegede admitted that the blogger was wrong, noting that civilians are not supposed to involve themselves in military-related issues.

“We have come to understand that he has done wrong. We have also come to understand that a civilian should not dabble into military affairs. We accept that,

I am coming on his behalf, his wife, kids and associates to say please release him back to his family. Please send him back home,

It’s becoming embarrassing that this is where we are having to flex muscle; that being said, also remember that times are hard; it is quite unfair and inhumane to take a breadwinner from his family,” she said.

The incident, which occurred during a lengthy church service, drew attention from guests as the couple struggled to stay awake during key moments of the programme.

Eyewitnesses said the bride appeared visibly exhausted and briefly slept off while seated beside her groom, who also showed signs of fatigue.

“The bride appeared extremely tired and briefly dozed off while seated beside her groom,” a guest recounted.

Another attendee noted the groom’s condition, saying he was “yawning several times and shifting uncomfortably during the proceedings.”Nigerian travel guide

According to guests, the situation was largely due to the extended duration of the service, which reportedly went on longer than expected with multiple rituals and delays.

“The service had stretched longer than expected,” one eyewitness shared, adding that the prolonged schedule contributed to the couple’s exhaustion.

Despite efforts by family members and church officials to keep the ceremony on track, the atmosphere became tense as the fatigue became more noticeable.

Observers say such incidents are not uncommon in elaborate Nigerian church weddings, where ceremonies can last several hours, especially when they begin early without adequate breaks.

The wedding was eventually concluded successfully, but clips from the moment have since surfaced online, sparking mixed reactions ranging from humour to concern.
