Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election for Kaduna Central ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Announcing his victory in a statement on Monday, Sani said the party resorted to direct primaries after efforts to reach a consensus among aspirants failed.
According to him, the exercise was conducted under the directive of the APC leadership and the guidance of Uba Sani.
“I, by the grace of the Almighty, emerged victorious. I’m deeply humbled,” he stated.
The former lawmaker expressed appreciation to APC executives at the state, local government and ward levels, as well as commissioners, stakeholders, local government chairmen, party supporters and members for their support during the primary election.
He also commended the national leadership of the APC and party officials for ensuring what he described as a level playing ground for all aspirants.
Addressing residents of Kaduna Central, Sani pledged to provide vibrant and positive representation in line with the manifesto of the APC and the Nigerian Constitution if elected.
He further called on other aspirants who lost in the primary to unite with the party and continue supporting the developmental efforts of the Kaduna State government.
“Nothing is permanent in life; you can lose today and win in the future,” he added.
